Kruger Shalati would like to announce a new vacant position in the capacity of Sales Representative.
Job description The purpose of this role is to increase sales of properties, maintain trade relations up with trade partners on provisional bookings and assist the team to maintain and grow the sales pipeline.
Duties include but not limited to: Kruger Shalati Pty Ltd is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to support the Sales Department. The candidate will be involved with the respective hospitality products within the portfolio, namely:
Kruger Shalati: (The Train on the Bridge)
Sanctuary Mandela (Houghton, Johannesburg)
The Sales Representative will be responsible to develop and foster business through pro-active direct and indirect sales via all acceptable business mediums [direct mail, appointment calls, telephone calls, agent hosting, Fam Trips and Site Visits at for the respective hotels in the Motsamayi portfolio].
The successfully appointed individual will also assist the sales team to develop strategic action plans to drive measurable & incremental sales revenue.
Contact customers via calls or arranged meetings to discover their needs and requirements and service accordingly
Collaborate with the Head of Sales to prepare and present sales proposals to potential clients, highlighting the best features and qualities of the hotels
Provide customers with a list of available services and their accompanying prices and offer STO rates/ ad-hoc discounts if necessary
Requirements
Matric pass essential
Must have travel industry experience
Minimum 5years in a similar role
Relevant Sales Courses certification preferred
Intermediate-level computer skills
Must be able to do local and international sales trip and trade shows
Understanding of the various Segments (Groups/FIT/MICE/Series) and the traditional markets ie. UK and Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the US as well as our developing markets China, India, Middle East, Southeast Asia will an advantage
Understanding and customer relationship management of Inbound Tour Operators/DMC
Able to identify trends across both Inbound Tour Operators/DMC and similar hotel groups
Assist in identifying and managing underperforming clients / Tour Operators / DMC and recommendations to address gaps
